This wrote itself about two nights ago. I was trying to go to sleep, and it just kept playing in my head. It wouldn't let me rest until I got up and wrote it down on paper. Then, I drifted off into wonderfully blissful slumber. Still, I can't get it out of my head, so I guess I will share it with you. The words in my head actually sound like lyrics to a song, with a melody and everything. However, I am not a songwriter and don't know about music (I can play the organ/synthesizer but that's about it), so I guess it will have to be a poem for now.

Not far off the beaten path
Lies the way less traveled
Through the trees it beckons me
Along the path I must follow
Next to the gurgling creek
Over rocks and hollows
The soft green moss cushions my feet
Along the path I must follow
Around the bend and through the trees
Who knows how long I will travel
But deep in my soul I know
This is where I must be
On the road less traveled.
