Well, I have good news and bad news...
The good news is I finally found a job! After 6 months of searching and trying to change careers, I have decided to go back to the laboratory field and have been hired as the supervisor for one of the area hospitals that is reopening post-Katrina. Right now, I'll only be supervising myself, but hopefully the lab will grow as the hospital opens more beds. They're paying me well, and I'll have insurance again, which has been a problem since I was laid off.
The bad news is that I lost my other dog last night, Poboy, my 13-year-old Corgi boy. I really adored that dog...he had such a sparkle and always so happy. He felt fine yesterday morning; I went to my new job to sign letters and do orientation stuff. When I got home, he was barely breathing and died about an hour later. I'm just heartbroken.
So, I won't be spending as much time on Gather, between the job and the amount of time I've been spending on Boomertowne. These sites have been helpful in making me some extra income. Thanks to those of you who have missed me...I'll check in daily, but I won't be posting much.
Take care...

Super-congratualtions on the new Job!!! Which of the Horseptals will you be spending your time? Its super that you found a supervisory position in the field you are familiar.
I am currently home with the flu. I've been at WJMC for 2 months now. That is why I have not been around Gather or any other computer sitek for that matter.
My condolences on the loss of your doggie. Thirteen years together makes for a very strong bond which has to be hurting.
