I've been thinking about Summertime. It's not my favorite season but I do love the smell of the flowers, the green all around us, the smell of freshly cut grass, the ease of not fighting the elements while driving and I like wearing shorts.

My favorite thing about summer is the fact that it means it is only about six more months till winter.....
Unfortunately I am not a big fan of summer. I do love flowers though.

Frozen lemonade
Summer here means Wild, rainy, windy weather, sometimes hurricanes, Mosquito's large enough to use as mass transport, heat that melts the neighbors until nothing is left but a hat on the ground............. Um....Summer is NOt my fav,lol. fall and spring get my vote.
((( The birds flying about...squirrels running after one another...wild rabbits...getting a nibble on my veggies...seeing neighbors mowing their yards, planting and playing with their children...Of course, I love eating outside after barbeque, when ribs go on the plate. There's so much to do in the Summer time. Oh, did I mention..a good time to shed a few pounds! :o) )))
My favorite thing is that even when it's over, it's still going to feel like summer here compared to where I have lived before!
When I was growing up, in South Dakota, summer was only good for what it gave me to look forward to. By the time school got out, I was already depressed because the end of summer was just weeks away. My gosh, I was a downer of a kid.

The summer off. No early mornings. Other than that I hate summer in Texas cause its too stinking hot!
Definitely not the heat, lol. I think what I like best is the longer days. I'm realy more of a Spring & Fall person.
Like Berf, my favorite part about summer is...the end of it. I don't like the heat. I prefer 70 degrees. Even though there are some part of summer I like; amusement parks, fairs, some of the fresh foods; I never get to participate in much, so at least when the weather gets bad and winter sets in, I have an excuse for not doing anything. (I hate doing stuff alone...boring...so I'm not all that active from May to October.)
