Hey all. ...well today is my Dad's birthday . I finally talked to him yesterday and told him happy almost birthday. It is so hard to believe that he is 87. He is a young 87, still full of life and energy. He helps out at bbq's and the horseshoe club in his little community.
Years ago I made him promise that he wouldn't die until he was passed 100! My father when I was little was a man who was all for family. A man who would sacrifice just so his girls could have things. He walked to work just to save the bus fare ...so he could buy my sister a doll carriage. My husband wouldn't walk down the block! My dad's generation was a different breed. (no offense to any men on here) None of the men I have met today is like this. I take that back, my friend Dave would come close. As my sister says.."they don't make men like Daddy anymore".
My father-in-law was also from the older generation. He also is a man who worked multiple jobs to give his family everything.
Changing subjects! I must have been in a mood yesterday..I was writing strange things on my friends group message board. Nothing terrible...just strange! ..lol...to her conversation I added talking about cameltoe, and butt cracks and constipation...I have no answers to my behavior...sorry to my friend! she probably hates me now!!!

Rob..boy are you in for it!!!!!
I sometimes get busy and just don't feel like talking...I know it's bad!
You're right, the older generation of men was one of a kind. Your Dad sounds like a wonderful man. My Dad, however, is not, but then again my Dad's a lot younger than 87. My grandpa sounds a lot like your Dad though.
