My daughter had a friend spend the whole day/night last Saturday with us. His parents are friends of ours and they needed us to keep him for the night. My kids had a blast with their guest. One of the fun things Maddie and Seth did was getting out the old stand-by.......Playdough.
One was in charge of making the hamburgers and the other one was making the hotdogs. They got quite creative with the whole thing. I even got them out spatulas to make it more real.
Then while little brother was taking a nap, they had popcorn and a movie. They picked out the Wizard of Oz to watch.
Now it's time to start the diving into the pillows. Little brother has woken up from his nap and decided to join in also. Insert lots of screaming and giggling, and Mom and Dad taking multiple shots of Ibuprofin.
(We also went to the park to play in the middle of all this, but I will post that in a later essay.)
The PJ's are now on. (It's getting closer now to getting them all in bed. Can I get an Amen, sister?!!?) They are all playing Ring Around the Rosie now and landing in the middle of the floor in squeals and laughter.
It was so nice for Maddie to have her friend come for a sleepover and play.
Although, it was a double blessing for me when it was the SLEEP part of the Sleepover.
