Game: What Are Your Favorite Movies And Why?

Hey there everyone, I've got a long weekend and a bit of downtime so I was hoping that you'd tell me a few of your favorite movies and why. I definitely need to check out a few new movies.

I like love stories, comedies and some mysteries. Sabrina...with Harrison Ford is my favorite. Why you ask...because the best man gets the girl, of course.

Defending Your Life (with Meryl Streep & Albert Brooks) because I'd like to think it might be "the way" its depicted in the movie.... you get to the outskirts of Heaven and you have to defend the way you lived your life..... I have seen it several times, I LOVE that movie!!

Gone with the Wind because it is a good historical romance and it has awesome actors and beautiful dresses. Urban Cowboy there is something about Debra Winger that I find appealing, love the music also love John Travolta, Grease, anything with Natalie Wood,
Cool Hand Luke, Boyz in Da Hood, Soul Food, Waiting to Exhale, Get Rich or Die Tryin,
8 mile, The Notebook, Always Outnumbered Always Outgunned.

I am watching the John Adams miniseries that ran on HBO recently and it is pretty good.

O Brother Where Art Thou?---I love the sly wittiness of the script.
Chronicles of Riddick---I always enjoy a good scifi flick
Legends of the Fall---love, tragedy, Brad Pitt
Little Shop of Horrors--love the music, the script, everything
Spiderman 1 & 2---I'm a comic book geek (at least for the old stuff)
The Fifth Element---entertaining, another witty script, Bruce Willis is at his best
Robocop--shocking and thought provoking, the commercials are a hoot!
The Outsiders---good adaptation of the book
16 Candles--hilarious
The Breakfast Club---like reading a good YA book
I really like the movie Blow with Johnny Depp & Penelope Cruz - the movie surprised me, and I enjoyed it.
One of my all time favorites is Casino - just enjoy that one all the time!

I like Gone with the Wind, It happened One Night and Ghostbusters. I just watched Urban Legends II, it wasn't very good though.

This could take all day, but if you go to my homepage I have my most favorite movies on there. I like all of these because the acting was superb, the stories were seamless and they were well directed.

I like mostly action and scifi - all the Harry Potter movies were good and I really enjoyed them. Anything with Bruce Willis, his Die Hard series was good and The Sixth Sense was excellent. I liked all the Spiderman movies and Van Helsing. The Lord of the Rings trilogy especially the extended versions are awesome. I also liked Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt. The Lara Croft movies were good. I could go on all day.

One of my favorites is Shawshank Redemption - just really enjoyed the plot. Crash was pretty good.

The Wedding Planner- so sweet. Tomb Raider movies. Flashdance, Dirty Dancing- romance and dancing- my favorite things, lol.

I love anything Adam Sandler (not so much Anger Management or Punch Drunk Love- but the rest are great) Make me laugh, cry, smile, or wince. It is all great cinema.

Dirty Dancing -- I have loved this movie forever. I don't really know why, but I do.
The Goonies -- A classic. I loved the things that happened in the movie.
Pearl Harbor -- I'm a history fanatic, and I loved this movie. It was gripping and was great.
The Da Vinci Code -- A great movie, but I liked the book better.
