Earn a Penny: Double oddity and free stuff in the mail (June 26, 2008)

So I've been working on Half.com a lot lately, adding books to my store, and I've found a few places where I can buy books cheaper than I can sell them, including some odd books that look like they'd sell well. One of my books sold for $6, so I went out and picked up a bunch of inexpensive books with the money. Good, right? Well, one of them was entitled 'The Loving Dominant' - turns out it sells for eight dollars. (I paid 49 cents for it.) That's odd in a good way, but the funny part is that someone stuck a Baptist Church pamphlet (in Spanish) in the book. (No, 'The Loving Dominant' is not written in Spanish. Follow the link if you're curious, or suffice it to say that it's in the realm of adult content, and therefore, an odd ly amusing place to see a Spanish Baptist pamphlet.)

I also managed to get a trial-size package of Nature Made Liquid Softgel multivitamins (enough for 14 days), a free sample of Warm Delights (which promptly got claimed by one of the kids, bah), and a coupon for a free bottle of Ensure and another coupon for $3 off a six-pack. Not a bad day.
