A few years ago I wrote everyone in my family a poem for Christmas. This is the one I wrote for my brother. It's a true story.
I remember those days
so long ago
growing up we were allies
but we also were foes
On this particular day
you were having a snack
But things got ugly
when I began my attack
Just a little shove
and your bowl of orange delight
sprang from the bowl
into a mid air flight
Bloop! went the jello
as it landed on the floor
That's when mother
began to roar
"Damn you kids,
what do I clean for
Look at this mess
there's jello all over the floor"
You looked at mom
ornery to the core,
tossed the bowl up and said
"Now THAT'S Jello all over the floor."
(After that your butt was pretty sore)

if I were to write one for my sister would probably have to include the pork chop incident.
