A Whaler's Tale - POW - ALE



Whalers totaled their whaleboats

When signaled to the shale

The signaler was a stealer

As was revealed by a squealer.

 

This talebearer regaled us.

From the Alehouse, he'd haled us,

With tales of whales in other locales

scaled over the gunwales,

impaled on the shale

Like bales on scales.

 

This tattletale revealed some things

long concealed about whalemen,

Whaleboats, whalers and resalers

Whose malevolence was unequaled.

 

Resalers had sales of whalebones,

Whale oil and baleen,

Now when whalers see signalers hale

They rescale to swales and squalene.

Terry, I made them red in the document and pasted it. Sometimes my formatting works on Gather, other times it doesn't. One of life's mysteries, I guess.
