"Angry with God?! Who me?! Never! I love God!!!" This is a typical response of persons whom are ultimately upset with God. The most often response is of horror and complete denial. It appears that anger towards God is a synonym for disbelief in God. We have to realize that ‘anger towards God,’ instead of being a sign of disbelief or disrespect, is one of the first steps towards a deeper, more fulfilling and trusting relationship with God. It is a sign that we are ready to involve God more actively in our daily activities, to dialogue with God on a more personal basis and even follow His guidance in our life. Thus, contrary to popular belief, anger towards God can be a positive sign of the potential personal relationship with Him, as opposed to anger being a sign of disbelief in or denial of God. In order to comprehend this view a different understanding of ‘anger’ is necessary than is generally accepted.
Anger is a total spiritual state towards what is believed to be less than ideal. Anger in itself is morally neither positive nor negative. The expression of anger determines its moral value. Anger affects your whole being, it implies a perceived relationship and can be a gateway toward a more meaningful relationship.
Generally we become angry because our expectations have not been fulfilled. If our expectaions are not met then it could be perceived that the relationship is either not intimate enough and/or it is not developing towards greater understanding and intimacy.
There are many reasons why people become angry with God. How we choose to let it affect us is another matter entirely. "Be angry but sin not." [Psalm 4:4]. Just like anyone else that I become angry with....I get angry, I get over it and my love has NEVER wavered. I love God with all my being and am thankful for the life I have been given.. I may get angry from time to time, but my love NEVER changes.

Besides, how angry have we made God, with our careless & selfish acts, and yet he still loves us! Amen to that~
It's OK to be angry, even at God. The important thing, as with any time you are upset, is to TALK it out. Talk to God. He knows how you feel, but by expressing yourself and allowing yourself to vent a little gives Him the chance to help you work through it.
Great article! Thanks for posting it!
Here's my 2 cents: God gave us a full range of emotions as well as a free will. If we believe in God and believe He knows our heart, then we have to know that He understands the source of the anger. You just read about mine. As heart-wrenching as that experience was, like it or not, I had to accept it as part of His plan. I'll admit, I was very angry, but it led to an understanding and became the most spiritual, life-changing time of my life. Things could have gone in either direction, I could have remained angry and bitter, but a little something called faith helped me get through it ... and He knew I'd find the way all along.
Thanks so much for this post.
