They say there are many types of love but I disagree.
There is only one love, taught to us by God –love with no labels, no strings, no limitations.
Us mere mortals mix up love cocktails of: Mate ship, friendship, care, respect, tenderness, lust, envy, parenthood, like, sibling rivalry, tolerance, adultery, restrictions, limitations, conditions, all the good and the bad, then we justify it as different types of love.
Weren't we asked to love one another as the Lord loves us - therefore Love is care, mercy, forgiveness, understanding and patience? The same love for all.
Untangle the Brotherly love, sisterly love, and Motherly love, the love for our husbands, wives, lovers, and friends. Remove the lust, the envy, all other emotions and restrictions – strip it bare and you have what the Lord asks.
Love is just Love – PURE and SIMPLE.
Don’t pollute it. Don’t label it. Don’t blur it.
Just follow the instructions
“Love one another as I have loved you” and how can we go wrong.

Thank you Bob for featured my article. I can't compete with Allen's poems at the moment and currently my writing is moving away from poetry towards prose.
Love is a strange thing and a thing that most of us don't understand.
I will never fully understand it but I am learning.
Others disagree - I found a poem on the web that puts it thus:
Some love is ice.
Some love is fire.
But the cleanest,
purest love is desire.
So beautiful and true!
