I finished! This year I came in at just over 75,000 words. As always, I'm glad I participated and saw it through, but I also have to admit that I'm really glad it's over for another year.

I again didn't participate this year. Writing comes to me when it comes to me. This month just wasn't it.

I finished yesterday afternoon.

BTW, if you haven't done so already, make sure you have the correct time zone in your settings. The word validation is disabled promptly at 11:59 PM so if you want to get every minute, make sure you've selected the correct time zone.

I'm glad I tried to participate. Though I only wrote about 4,000 words (work got way busier than I imagined - still trying to catch up), I linked with people from my past to help me remember certain things I want to include (research completed). It also inspired my 7 year old daughter to write a book (she won "Best Writer" in the first grade so who knows?) and she wants to "collaborate" with me on a project. So you never know where all this will go - I'm just glad I finally got started and happy to see it inspired my little girl.
