Gather question ...........
How do I upload photos in the article layout, where I type the text? Not near the side, but in the layout.
I do not have microsoft word, so I can only use word pad (and that will not upload photos). I have tried and already published my Easter photo essay and everyone says all they see is a box with a red X on it... Its frustrating.. And a few emailed me back, but they didn't answer my question quite on target on what I was trying to ask.
Thanks for any advice!
Michelle

To make them large click them once and drag them when big.

you will see a tab that says http....image...and the name of your image...that is the enlarged imagel. Click the tab then drag the image where you want it into your article.
if it is too big, grab at the corner and pull inward. If it is not big enough, grab at the corner and pull outward. Be sure you don't pull it long or wide because that will distort the image. It comes up pretty big so it should be big enough.
Make sure you have a space already for it into your article. If it is at the end, you won't be able to type after it unless you leave blank space.
If you have more than one image, leave spaces or even spaces with words such as WORDS GO HERE FOR IMAGE 1 DOG...then a few enter carriage returns. You can always close up extra space later.
it looks like you have all the information you need to place photos in your articles from the people commenting above....
have fun!!!
I just wanted to stop by since I am finally going through what is now listed as under 4,300 pieces of gather new mail that is sitting in my inbox on here.
With that mentioned I just came across either a mailing from you yourself, or someone else brought this piece to my attention. You or they felt that your creation should be shared with the gather community, which I am very glad that it was passed on to me to view. So I wanted to say Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to publish it here on gather for us to all view. :o)
As well before I leave you I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year... in 2009 :o)
