My mother passed away unexpectedly in an accidental fall the first of this year. In the whirlwind of things-that-have-to-be-taken-care-of afterward, I ended up with a small stash of her office supplies that I have been pulling things out of randomly here and there since. Yesterday while taking some notes at work (on what was previously my mom's notepad), I flipped the page to see a nice sentiment written by her.
It was kind of a shocking moment for me, as the sentiment seems to fit my life at the moment and it felt like she was speaking to me.
These last two months have been the roughest time of my life. Three weeks after my mother passed away, my dog died. The topic today is about family, and mine is now two members shorter.
Kiss the people you love, and tell them you love them. So many opportunites to say it, and so many times left unsaid.
