In 1997, I had the honor of hearing Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati speak.
It was a moment that profoundly started a great spiritual shift in my life. Unparralled with hearing Marianne Williamson speak on a "Return To Love".
At a small venue hosted by the Sisters of Loyola, Ma rushes in a few minutes late.
She apologized for being late, she was delayed because she had met a homeless women in need off care and she was busy helping clean this woman off in the bathroom.
She then said in a voice that I will never forget.
" Do Not Throw Away People"
That statement has never left me and reminds me of the value of those around us and directed towards us.
Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati is an American-born spiritual teacher. She is widely known for her compassionate work, serving those who are suffering, people living with AIDS, the homeless, the poor, and anyone in need. She is most
passionate about the importance of service in spiritual life. http://www.kashi.org/majaya/

I know you do not throw away people
That is why I am still here
I gotta say you had multiple of reasons to throw me away and you didn't
so, I am glad that you practice what you preach.
It also helps me see why you do what you do with your mom.
I suppose it is something I need to remember, too.
I know about service to people; service is easy.
What about those who are family and friends -- loved ones.
What about those who are needed and/or the ones society deems of no value?
"Do not throw people away."
Wisdom.
I would leave out some eggs so they wouldn't have to do that.
It is not as big, but its been a long time since we had to really help anyone we often forget that there are still people out there that really need it.
Love,
Kathy Mae
thanks for not throwing me away yet.
