Dribble & Drool

I should have been writing this all along.  Well, here goes.

Many of you know we were blessed by a new live-in grandson last October.  Well, he is 7 1/2 months old now.  He grew very fast and is now bigger that most 12 month olds, at 22 1/2 pounds and 28 1/2 inches tall.  What a joy he has brought to my life.  I have enjoyed helping with his care and instructing my daughter Anna in the process.  Anna has to work so she can pay the bills of a single mom.  She stays with us and we provide care for her son while she works.
We will just call him 'E' in this and possibly other articles. 
From the time E was born, I sang songs to him.  With Christmas fast approaching after he was born, I sang Christmas songs to him.  The one he liked best then and now is 'Silent Night.'  I am determined to teach this child as much as I can before he goes to school, so I began singing the 'ABC Song' to him at least once a day.  While riding in the car, E may become fussy, then I break out into the 'ABC Song' (singing louder than Elvis on the Elvis station of  Sirius satalite radio), and he becomes calm and receptive.  When I stop, he cries, so I start again.  I might have to go through the song 50 to 100 times before he decides to take a snooze.  I can sing it to any tune, as long as I sing the ABC's.  Now, 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' is pretty much the same tune, as well as 'Baa Baa Black Sheep.  No, they don't work.  I try other songs, but when he is fussy it's 'ABC Song' or 'Silent Night.' 
Does your baby or grandbaby have a favorite song?  I find this interesting.
