First Tooth!

Little Miss got her first tooth towards the end of last week!  For me that's meant a crabby baby with a fever and very little sleep for me!  We think another one is coming in as well, and then hopefully we'll have a break for a little while. 

It's amazing how well babies hide those things once they've come in, I think you have a better chance of spotting Bigfoot!  So far I'm the only one who has had a sure spotting of the elusive tooth, although my husband has felt it several times.  I think it will be a long time before we capture it on film!

They tend to come in one right after the other.....then a short break, and it starts again. Hope you get some rest. I'm an old and old fashioned Mom. I rubbed a little whiskey on their gums and this way they went to sleep and I could also.

I agree with Katie - rub her gums with whiskey. I've been told it helps! Hope you get some decent sleep soon!

My sister in law (who is married to a doctor) was breast-feeding, and when hers wouldn't sleep because of teething or colic, would drink a glass of wine after or with dinner, and then feed them. They'd go peacefully to sleep. If you are still breastfeeding (if at all) that works too.

I've tried the drinking a glass a wine with dinner before feeding her - it doesn't work!

I think we're on the upswing now - she wasn't as cranky today as she has been....

probably actually has two coming in you just can't see the other one. They can be really crabby cutting teeth.

That's wonderful news April even though poor Little Miss has been cranky and in pain. It gets better as more teeth come in, (or in most cases it seems to). Nows the time for Mom to take a nap when Little Miss does. She's so cute.
