Lots of red in my backyard this month. What with autumn being a week away. Flowers are still blooming and fruit is ripe.
There are red apples.

These are tasty too. One problem with feeding the birds is there's going to be a few bird visitors that like apples as well. I have more than a few apples that have been sampled.

The mountain ash berries are bright and beautiful. These will be quickly devoured after the first or second hard frost. Starlings eat most of them.

I still have some blooms on my trumpet vine. But the hummingbirds have moved on.

The hummers are getting ready to migrate, they are all over the place here and I'm filling my feeders every day.

Have you seen the newest variety of apples that the University of Minnesota has created? They look delicious but I have not seen them in stores yet~
