When the weather is blah and I'm feeling the blues, I love to cook and bake. (Even more than I usually do.) It perks me up and I am also accomplishing things. I turn the oven on to take the chill from the house. The house smells great from all the aromas, I forget my problems for awhile, hubby loves the food and I conserved on energy making many things at one time. You just can't beat that.
Rocky loves to be with his Mommy when she is in the kitchen. I do not allow him to run around or toss toys. He's really good about that. He'll generally lay in the hallway or at the kitchen door. He's content as long as he can be with me.

I had many plans, but had to decide how I was feeling. I'm pretty much limited anymore to what I can do, but I figure out ways to do it even if I end up not being able to do much the next day. I decided on homemade noodles to start with. Then I made homemade chicken noodle soup and two loaves of homemade bread. If you know anything about cooking, there is no way to make a little pot of soup. Everyone says I cook for an army, but that is okay. I like to also give to friends. After all, that is what it is about. I am fortunate to have some great friends.

So, Rocky and I spent the day in the kitchen. Hubby really enjoyed the soup and bread. And we have alot left to still enjoy and share with our neighbor, Bill. He tilled our garden for us because we aren't capable of doing it anymore. He's like a brother to us. And he was just mentioning the other day how he was thinking about my bread. He'll be surprised when he comes home to find homemade bread and chicken noodle soup. I also put a package of homemade noodles aside for him.
Nothing like homemade.
