The pictures here were taken in sequence as I tried to wake my kitty to get him to move

over so I could get into bed, isn't he just the cutest thing ever, oh I know all kitties are.

My kitty is purring

softly as he dreams

Upon my bed

I must move him over

or I can't lay my head

down on the pillow

as he has staked that out

I gently nudge him

not to wake his little self

he's probably dreaming

of a little kitty Elf

Trouble just does not want to move off! I looked at the kitty pictures, they were so cute...

Mao sleeps on my legs and Cheddar is on the window...Cheddar will never move but Mao moves at the slightest movement.

I would never take a broom to my kitty Larry, he is the love of my life now, he weighs about eight pounds and is as sweet as can be, and he's right there again now, waits for me to go to bed, has more sense than me and gets a head start lol, thanks for making me laugh Larry.

Such a cute verse Elsie. My cats like to sleep on my bed too. They look at me with annoyance, when I move them over. They figure it is their bed, and they are gracious enough to give me a little corner to sleep.

Love your verse and your precious little kitten. It reminded me of photos i found on my memory card a few days ago. A finch had flown into my bedroom. Got several shots but i was worried he'd die with the shock. I'm not experienced enough yet to get the photo straight from my memory stick to the computer. But when I do would love to share.

I always just picked them up and moved them when it came time for me to lay down and go to sleep. They were allowed on the bed while I was awake, but when it came night, night time; they scooted. Butcher started her own habit of being my 'Watch Cat' when she started sleeping on the mat inside the front door. Renne had her own pillow off to the far side of the bed she slept on. My F.N. Kat slept wherever he wanted to when I was asleep...as long as it wasn't in my bedroom. He liked to play too much and run around to wake me up too many times during the night. The door closed him out. Now, I miss my kitties...and I want them back.

This was a joy to read this morning, Elsie. I switched from a queen-size bed to a mate's bed a while back. Myrrh, the big orange cat who'd lost part of his paw in a snare, has now taken over my bed and stretches fully across. If I can move him lengthwise, he's a great back-warmer.

This was a good observation that many of us have probably experienced. I have the same problem with my little dog, Jada. She has obvious "doggie-dreams"- I can tell from her breathing patterns and little sounds she makes. But hey, animals are people too, right? And I agree with Wilhelmine, they are great bed-warmers!

We no longer have any kitties to share our bed. Instead, we have Jake the snoring Wonder Beagle. He's a blanket hog, too. LOL

I have a little 10 pound Pomeranian, Maxie, who looks indignant at me when I ask him to move over. Sometimes he says, "No."

This is cute and fun. Our animals sleep with us and sometimes it is quite a coup to manage a spot. So I know the feeling. But I still have the opinion they should not take my pillow.
