Is Math a Social-life Killer?

According to researchers at London Metropolitan University, a "substantial majority" of high school and university students said no thanks to pursuing math, because they think mathematicians are all "old, white, middle-class men who lack social skills and have no personal life."

With shows like Wordgirl promoting reading at early ages, we're looking for a hero to show kids that math isn't a social no-no. Give us your input: Which TV shows get your offspring excited about math?

I hate math, algebra. geometry, and anything of the sort. I got good grades in these subjects in school and also got A's in bookkeeping and accounting. But I hated it. I would never want a job that included math.

That's interesting. I hadn't heard about this study. Personally, I absolutely hate math, but not because of thinking it's a "social-life killer" or whatever, but just because I'm terrible at it.

For years I've been watching NUMB3RS, though. My whole family and I really enjoy watching that show and it shows how incredible numbers can really be. :D
