Nix the mama drama?

She already taped the show and odds are they wont know shes pregnant unless they are told or see the news so why take zoey 101 away?

I cut our cable 2 years ago. All my kids watch are DVDs, and are thankfully too young to know squat about all the shows they don't have the opportunity to waste their childhoods on!

I have an open door policy with my kids and we talk about everything they need to talk about. We talked about this, but I am not sure what to say as far as continuing to watch the show. If they try to hide her pregnancy when they film the next part (I know they taped a season ahead) I kind of think it is wrong. I would almost rather see them work it into the story line and let kids learn about what a pregnant teen would actually face in real life. Hiding it makes it seem like it doesn't affect her, and it adds to the glamour of being a teen star. You can get pregnant and it's no big deal. I think that the kids working for networks like Nickelodeon and Disney, and the networks themselves, have a responsibility to their young viewers. If they make a mistake, they owe it to these kids to at the very least show what can be learned from it. It is tough being a parent in a time where you have to dilligently watch out for not only the content of the programs your children watch, but also the content of the people creating the characters they so admire.
