Don't despair Paidra. We gatherers are a smart bunch. We will find one another's content no matter how hard they try to hide it.

I have seen way more people say they don't like it, than do. I was very surprised when I went to vote to see it that other way around! Maybe those that don't like it couldn't find it????

Amanda .... you hit the nail on the head .... and when those who DID find that poll emailed their friends and connections to go check it out, the numbers changed drastically towards the "I HATE the changes" group ..... then gather pulled the poll very quickly and substituted the HDTV poll instead ...... poor babies can't take the criticism and hear that WE, the members and actual users of their system DO NOT LIKE the changes that they made .......

Paidra ..... don't stop complaining about the things that are WRONG .... if it does not work for YOU, then it is wrong ....... you are NOT in the minority here .... if anything, this is one time when those who DO NOT LIKE the current downgrade are actually in the MAJORITY ...... however, it seems that we tend to NOT complain about most things ....

In this particular case, I am definitely complaining ...... I am furious and disgusted with they way this site has been butchered ........ and, even though I am willing to TRY to hang in there to see if/what Gather will do to fix this catastrophe ... I am not betting that they will do much more than continue to tell us to suck it up and shut up abou it ..... put on your happy face and stay in your place b/c they will do what they want ....
and I really get PO'd when ANYONE tells me to just "give it a try - you'll get used to it" .... as if my feelings on this matter are not valid and I am being crybaby .... well, tough shit .... I will continue to complain until they fix what they messed up .... and so should we all ......

It does suck and it's amazing how fast the poll got pulled. It goes to show you that companies think they know what is 'best' and don't listen to their customers. Someone should form a 'new' gatherlike community that is user friendly..I'm not that computer savvy or I would.

I am not on enough to keep up with the last tow upgrades, so it adds a lot more to learn.I will, sooner or later, or get eaten by the great gather Gods. Ha.

It is so hard for me to find new content by my friends, it drives me insane! It is so hard to find anyone now. I know how you feel!

I hate the new format as well

I'm just LOST since the update. It seems what was INTENTIONALLY finding content is now ACCIDENTALLY finding it.

I'm a daily and regular contributer to this site and I LIKE seeing other's content... only now that's incredibly difficult to do.

Aha, found ya. LOL, my panties are always in a knot. I hate the upgrade too. Tonight I tried to get to my namespace and got someone elses. All her private information was right in front of me. That's not cool. Eventually, I got my own space back but it took a while.

Paidra- I've been frustrated, too. I don't know what I am going to do. At first I was deleting articles right and left and then I stopped. For now, I'm just going to try and ride it out bit.

the upgrade stinks, dont seam that the troll are not having a hard time finding my stuff, now if my connections just could. :(

At first I was simply going to delete your comment. But then I thought, perhaps your day simply started out badly and you are not sure how to turn it around. I really don't recall seeking out your editing services so please feel free to offer your wise words to those clamoring (and I don't care if it's mispelled) to receive them. And please, because anything posted on gather.com is automatically copyrighted, put quotation marks around my words.

A good part of the new change was that, in trying to learn my way around, I found some new gather niches and people who of interest to me.

I guess I'm finding some new niches too. I seem to have met quite a few new friends since the change, though I hope I'm not losing old ones.

My panties didn't get in a knot. When you take two breeds of a species and cross them, you get the best qualities of both breeds in the offspring. This is what i wish we could do with the old and new format. Take care, love your work!

It seems that I have found my way around this new
format. It took a few days but I find I can navigate
to where ever I need to. I don't have problems when
I am looking for my Gather friends. There are some
things that I don't like which was changed when the
'upgrade' was done. I've found anything wrong yet
with the new upgrade they did last night. I hope you
will stay here on Gather Paidra. I need to read your
articles Paidra.
