I learned today that Patry Francis, author of 'The Liar's Diary' published in February 2007, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. She is undergoing another surgery, and her prognosis is good, but as you can imagine this is a difficult time for anyone, and particularly a newly published author who should be out on the road promoting her book.
