My Cherry Tree

One of the most beautiful trees in my back yard is a lovely Cherry Tree.  The only down side to this tree is that it is not a fruit bearing tree... and I do love cherries.  It is usually the last one to gain blooms but when it does, the blooms look like little pink roses all over the place.

That's so pretty! Do you get a lot of cherries? Do the neighbors sneak over and steal them off your tree like they do where I live?
I wish... no this tree does not bear fruit... just flowers ;(

It's beautiful...and be thankful it doesn't bear fruit. In September, when there was too much fruit, it would fall to the ground, and then the yellowjackets would get drunk on the rotting cherries and dive bomb you. At least that's what used to happen with our plum tree.

OH good heavens the last thing I want to deal with is drunk yellowjackets! Though I might kinda be funny too see them swaggering LOL

Beautiful cherry tree! The kids planted a cherry tree in honor of Earth Day this year! I can't wait for it to look like this one!
