Just browsing through the news headlines and couldn't believe what I saw.
The headline read as follows: Parents of Baby Left Alone in Car Seat For 8 Days Face Murder Charges. Trust me it gets even worse, Tracy, 21, and James, 23, are facing first degree murder charges for the death of their 5-month old baby, found unresponsive in a car seat that was placed in a crib. They could each face 100 years in prison for their actions that "were brutal and heinous . . . indicative of wanton cruelty," if convicted.
The 5-month old was dropped off at his parents' house on Feb. 4 strapped in car seat and was found in the same position eight days later. The baby died from starvation due to neglect. The baby weighed close to 8 lbs at birth and when police found the baby he weighed 10 lbs.
Here is the worst part. Both Tracy and James were at home playing video games, watching TV, and feeding and caring for each other during the eight days this baby stayed strapped in a seat. The mother also has a 3 year old daughter and proceedings have begun in permanently removing the child from the home. It talks about that child was staying with another family member, but has since been put in care of the Department of Family and Children's Services.

How can someone or some people be so cruel to a helpless infant?? Leaving a baby strapped in a car to sit in his or her own waste for 8 days, starving them to death with no way to get out. Didn't anyone notice or hear anything like crying and or screaming coming from the infant in the car seat put in a crib?? Sorry, people like this should not be allowed to procreate and honestly be castrated to prevent this from happening. It seems apparent to me that she could care less about her children by the way she carried on having fun playing video games with her loser boyfriend, father of the 5 month old boy, eating food and taking care of each other and probably didn't even give a second thought to the cruelty she was inflicting on that defenseless baby. She cared only of her own well-being.
Before anyone jumps down my throat about my comments about irresponsible people and or parents, this is only my OPINIONS/VIEWS!! I do have faith in our legal system in that a jury of their peers will convict them accordingly based on ALL the evidence and they will have a long time (maybe a lifetime or close to it) to think about why they did what they did. Sometimes I wish there was a Dirty Harry vigilante type person who would make a person pay for the crime they committed or face severe punishments like getting a hand cut off for stealing like in other countries, but I know while it might deter crime the decision would take into account what was witnessed, not what was proven to be fact.
To some extent, I realize that some people just never "get it" figuring they are above the law and can't be touched or come up with some crazy story that God commanded them to do his bidding or fulfill their purpose on earth crap. Part of me would love to take those kind of individuals, line them up face against the wall and shoot them in the back of the head, one less "sicko" in society to worry about. Think about it. Bullets are cheap, it would take just one shot to kill them and dump them in a big hole in the ground.
How do you feel about people like this?? What do you feel they deserve a life sentence without parole and or the death penalty?? I will DELETE any and all comments that criticize myself and or others' opinions.

These people need to be locked up and the key thrown away and maybe someone should just "forget" about them for a few days or weeks.
She is one pathetic individual that needs a real dose of reality thrown in her face for what she has done.
Must of been easy for her since her 3 year old daughter was staying with another family member, which proves to me she cared more about her precious video games than being a parent to her children.
They are old enough to know what they were doing, the baby didn't understand any of it.
They deserve terrible things to be done to them, the baby deserved loving care.
But there is no way they 'just forgot' the baby was out there. They knew full well what they were doing and chose to do the most evil things possible.
In this system of laws we live under, their punishment, if found guilty in court, will not fit the crime. If the state has the death penalty, and I think it's on hold there, they will be given 3 meals a day, have bathroom privileges, go to the doctor if they become ill, etc. until the date when all appeals have been exhausted. YEARS of living.
However, we can all take comfort in the fact that there is a GOD who cares about these things and as the Bible say, "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
May the state do to them what it can and may the rest of us have some peace knowing that they are not 'in His hands' for safekeeping, but will or have, 'fallen' there.
Thanks for sharing this, Diana. I'm so sorry it was there to share. Poor baby. Trusting the parents to care for him, and they betrayed that trust. It will be hard to sleep tonight.
I totally understand that their punishment will not the fit the crime, but I rather have them behind bars serving a life sentence without parole having to watch their backs since there are people who don't tolerate certain types of crimes and will make sure your life is miserable. I am one of those people who believes in karma and it always has a way of coming back to you, but you never know when.
Thanks for expressing your opinions/views. I know exactly how you feel.
My consolation lies in the fact that as the saying is, "What goes around, comes around." and there is no way they can escape judgment. I just hope this is impressed on their miserable minds every day of their existance. And that the jury selected will see the truth of the matter at their fair trial. More fair than the treatment they handed down.
I'm sure it will sink in after the jury renders their decision to the judge as to what exactly their punishment should be, but now they are doing just what they were doing before minus the video games. They will have the rest of their miserable lives sitting in a cell always reminded of how they end up there.
