Saturday was my son's 4th birthday! Think he knew something was different that day, but don't know if really understood why it was a special day for him. The night before he got to have Chinese food and literally pigged out on everything.
Granted, it is not everyday he gets chocolate fudge cake and lots of presents to carefully tear open (yes, that is exactly what he did LOL!), but that was not the best part. The best part to my son was having him be the main focus and showing off to everyone how to a whole piece of cake with a fork and tearing up the wrapping paper.
He was the happiest kid sitting there so patiently waiting for to have his cake, which btw he ended up having 2 1/2 pieces altogether and full of smiles and laughing.
I have not yet downloaded the pics from his birthday with the family, but will get to it as soon as I can.
