Babies, babies everywhere!!

Well as most of you know I am an auntie now. I posted a photo of baby Hazel Renee and I a few days ago and today I have another baby photo to share with you!

baby-finch.jpgMy finches hatched their first baby! They have been laying eggs since October and until today none of them had hatched. Being their first attempt at having babies we were understanding of the lack of successful hatching but today to my surprise there was a small baby in the nest in addition to the two unhatched eggs!

I tried to get a good photo without upsetting baby and parents. Hope you enjoy it! I’ll keep trying to get a better shot.

Okay, so I got some better shots tonight and I noticed that we now have 2 finches!! One more egg to go! Yay baby finches!

awwww! i saw the babies everywhere tittle and had to look, since i'm having a baby too! lol. and so are 3 of my best friends.... more had babies earlier this year... lol

Congratulations on being an aunt! I can't see the baby finch - where is it?!?! I'm looking everywhere but am missing it somehow. LOL Thanks for posting to "All Photo Essays Here".

Congratulations! That's very exciting, but I don't see the baby finch either. Maybe I'm just not sure what to look for. But that's still very cool that you now have a new addition to your family!

Thanks for adding the new photos, Talina. I see them this time! They're so tiny...........and sorta ugly. I didn't know that's what baby finches looked like. Did they hatch prematurely or is that normal? They just seem so small and featherless and stuff. I hope they do well, so you can continue to take pictures of them. How very cool it will be to watch them grow!

They are ugly... but the feather will come and be all fluffy soon.. I will post more photos of their progress! Hope you all can see them!
