If you read my fence article you know that yesterday we saved a turtle. It had a few names while he or she was here, Mr Turtle, Rafael (sp?) and Turtle Patton but today he had to return to wild turtle. Before letting him or her go we did a little photo shoot.

Our goodbyes, here we were walking him down to the river. However because of the weeds and train tracks we were unable to get him back there. So we got in the car to head to the overlook over the river.
Here he is in his new home, access to the river for water but plenty of wide open land to roam around. Not high traffic and I think a peaceful place for a turtle to live.

Driving away, stay safe Mr. Turtle!! He was an old turtle, I hope he or she continues to grow old!

Many times people will help a turtle in the road for example & bring them to the side of the road they think he/she should go to, but the turtle is only going to try again to get where they want to go!
