Are we growing??

I purchased a Looney tunes growing chart from the dollar store last week! I got it out today and hung it on the wall in the kitchen so we could see if the kids are growing! Boy, they are growing way too fast. Where have my babies gone??

My daughter was so proud to stand there and see how tall she is getting. She was measuring close to the four feet marker. We didn't get an accurate measurement because she was wiggling and jiggling. Plus, it's a Looney tunes growth chart from the dollar store! ha ha

        

My son was more interested in checking out Bugs Bunny! Hey there BUGS.

                  

Both of them are growing really quickly. Gosh how times flies. It feels like they were just babies yesterday.

"Look, Mom, I am four years old, and I am four feet tall."

             

"Mom, I am bored with this. I don't care how tall I am. I want to go play with my toys."

Great pictures. A wall chart like that is a great way to keep track of growing. (Much better than what we did - putting marks on the wall...and having to cut a chunk of wall out to take. LOL)

They do grow way too fast. My sis made marks on a wall for her kids.. which is all well and good until you want to paint your wall or you decide to move LOL

Wait until they hit 12 years old and they are taller than you are! That is my situation. Last Summer, a machine at a Science Center told me that I had shrunk 3/4" of an inch and said that my son was now my height. 2 months later, he grew and now he is 2 inches taller than I am. Yikes.
They're just so cute!

I recently found marks on a door frame here from measurements taken on my husband's kids. The funny thing is, they were taller than me when they were measured.

Very cute pictures. I got one of those growth charts and taped it inside a closet we have in our hallway. In an episode of Gilmore Girls there was a scene where Lorelai mentioned that she had used a door in their house to mark Rory's growth and she didn't want a new door or anything because that one was so special for that reason. I thought "what a great idea" so I did the same thing. I taped that growth chart up in there and now I actually write on the door beside each new measurement - the date, measurement, and name of whichever kid it is. This reminds me that I probably should do a new measurement. You're so right. They grow SO FAST!

Victoria---Well I feel like a real goon now. I didn't write anything or names ect. I just let them stand up next to it for fun. Since then, my daughter has taken it down from the wall and is using it to play toys on!!
