Well believe it or not I just recently realized that I had a setting on my camera for Macro.
I saw the little flower icon, but never new what it was, then I finally figured it out when I was looking in the manual for my mothers old digital that she gave me.
I felt pretty stupid that I never new that I had a setting just for Macro.. But I started playing around with the setting a bit.
I used two different cameras for these a Nikon coolpix 2100, and a Fujifilm A345.
Here are a few of my first Macro photos taken in my backyard using the macro setting:

a butterfly/moth: not sure what this is called, it had a tail that you can't see in this pic:
