Here's another picture from the morning glory series. I have noticed how popular the pink and blue colors are, but I thought the sign on the parking lot across the street made an interesting contrast with the wild flowers.
Ir's hard to see, but the parking lot is abouot waist high in weeds where the weeds have grown up through the asphalt. This is one of the companies that lost its business to overseas manufacturing.
The photo has been cropped and sharpened a little but not otherwise altered. Enjoy, and be safe out there.

Yes, there are RR tracks, electrical cables, razor wire, and broken glass.
The trick is to have the building last only as long as you need it. They just closed the local KFC, and by that I mean that they bulldozed it. I don't know if they will build another one since they did not remove the sign. Two years ago, burger king was bulldozed and rebuilt ont eh same site.
It was definitely a textile plan, John. I had friends hwo worked there. Now this area is the most heavily foreign invested area for all the tax breaks they give people to build andy kind of manufacturing plant here. My school makes a lot of money re-tooling workers to do new jobs since there are almost no mills left.
Thanks, Amanda.
It's a shame about everything being outsourced, though.
