When I was hospitalized, I lost everything but some of my clothes. So now I'm having to replace everything that was important to me.
I've finally gotten a CD player & have ordered some of my favourite CDs that I miss...
It really dates me, but the ones I miss the most are by Culture Club, Dead or Alive, Mariah Carey's debut album, and Kiley Minogue's "Ultimate Kiley" collection.
I like new music, but sometimes the radio plays sucky music & now I will have a backup plan. ;)

How did you lose all your stuff though?
Back in 1978 hen I was in the hospital once I did lose most of all my clothes and that hurt. They were my work clothes that were put in boxes and dropped off to me in the ward. I basically had lost my job and home and then my clothes. I went to group therapy session and the boxes of my stuff was all gone... In a locked ward, NO one had any idea what happened to them...mind you, nothing came in or left the ward without a nurse pushing a button.
The comedy side of it was the last day as I rode up the elevator to the ward wearing my street clothes a nun with a cart full of medication for the ward asked me if I would bring it in the ward. She must have thought I worked there. I did what she asked, and boy were the nurses at the nurses station that buzzed me back in very surprised. :) For some reason people would mistake me for the counselors where ever I was... :)
One fellow did escape the ward. He knew he had drugs in his system so he substituted apple juice for his sample. We all laughed about it as they didn't look twice at the apple juice. He just went up to the nurses station and knocked underneath, where they couldn't see what he did. One of them thought someone was coming in and unlocked the door. He was gone in a flash and even though they activated the alarms, he was not caught. We thought that was clever...and he really was nice to everyone there.
Most of the people I met while I was in the hospital for depression were very nice and good people. Many offered me a place to stay when they found out I was homeless. I borrowed money from someone and rented a room, but it was nice they wanted to help.
I wish people would realize that people are people where ever they are and what ever diseases or struggles they have.
I have often thought the ones who are really ill are the ones that are so sure they are perfect and everyone else is sick and they would never go for help, as they don't need it. They are the ones who stress out others and the others wind up needing help.
Some one once told me they were called, "Crazy making people" and I believe them. I sure know enough of them.
Good luck rebuilding your collection.
