Yesterday I took a little drive down through the SE corner of SD into Northwest Iowa and back. I took a few shots of the fall scenery while I was out and about. It was no New England, but I did manage to find a few areas of fall foilage at least!

First stop was Arrowhead Park on the east edge of Sioux Falls. It's an old quartzite rock quarry turned waterfowl refuge and park.

A portion of the old quarry.

Driving near the small town of Hull, IA the sun broke through the clouds in places over this corn field.

Scenery between Inwood IA & Canton SD near the Sioux River, Iowa/SD border.

Near the Iowa/SD border again.

I could almost hear John Denver singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" in this picture!

More roadside scenery near the Iowa border.

I just had to shoot this neat house in Sioux Center IA when I saw it. Loved the colors of the vines growing on it!
