When you know that they don't care.
There are times when you feel like crying,
But you know it will lead nowhere.
Sometimes I fall into your eyes
And in my head I say a prayer
That you might open your heart
And find a piece of me there.
At times I sit in my bedroom
With the lights turned soft and low
and think of how well I could love you,
But it's something you may never know.
Love can be a beautiful thing
But unanswered the price can be high
I tell myself not to love you
But somehow it just won't die
It can hurt to love somebody
I know this to be true.
I haven't been the same
Since I fell in love with you.
