I'm not likely to get many surprises this year since I know what my husband is getting me (a book gift card) and I know what other family members are getting as well (either cash so we can pay bills or a book gift card). Although I must say I did get a kind of fun surprise today -- one of the people I work for gave me a cute little stocking with two Christmas bobble-head dolls (one Santa and one a Snowman) for my kids and some chocolate for me -- that was a nice surprise :-)

I'm hoping I get surprised with some quality time alone with my best friend so I don't have to spend the holiday by myself with no one around. Now that he's got a boyfriend, all his spare time is spent with him...and I don't think I should be rude and impose on their time together; especially for their first Christmas as a couple.

hmmm... honestly? i hope i get surprised with some money to help pay our bills this month. we signed up for rent assistance, and they had us go back and sign a bunch of papers and said they'd call us to set up another appointment but that was a month ago and nothing yet.. i don't know how we're going to make it this month!

i got a lovely package from a gather member, Alison, but that was my chanuka gift, 8 books i look foreward to reading
the one thing i look foreward to is peace from my christmas celebrating ex.
i think i just might get it this year

The one thing i would love to get a bread machine. But I know that is out of everyone budgets. So, I will have to wait to see if we have enough at income tax time if I can get it than.

I'm not looking for any surprises. I gave my husband a list of gift ideas so I won't really be surprised, but I do hope he bought me the shoes I wanted.

I honestly hope I get that Victorias Secret Pink and White Cat that sings "Santa Baby", I know it sounds silly but I haven't wanted something so superfical and meaning less since I was a child and craved and cried for Mrs. Beasley, but for some reason this little cat made me smile and suddenly my worries were gone if but for the second I sat and watched it blink it's eyes and swish it's tail as it sang.....silly I know.

I think we should find a candidate that would please the 70 some percent of the people that do not vote....that would almost be a revolution
