Yesterday my husband and I went up to the New York Renaissance Faire. (There will be more on that in future photo essays, because believe me, I took a ton and a half of photos to share.) Instead of starting at the beginning, however, I'm starting at the end... the drive home.
As my husband drove us home, I decided to try and capture with my camera some of the beauty that is Greenwood Lake. This lake spans 9 miles and is located in both New York and New Jersey. It is really a very gorgeous area.
As we hit West Milford in New Jersey, I was able to take a few shots through the windshield that I thought turned out rather nicely. The sky was so gorgeous yesterday and all told it was just a perfect day to be out and about.

Sure makes me wish I had a boat to take out on the lake!

I was actually surprised that there weren't more boats out and about yesterday. It seemed like a perfect day for a boat ride.
I know this next shot is a little dark at the bottom (road, bushes, etc.), but I thought the sky looked so neat that I had to share it anyway.

The weather was perfect. The clouds kept it from being too hot in the sun and there was a lovely breeze blowing most of the day.

It really makes me want a boat!
You can see a bit of the mountains across the lake.

The tree just jumped up and pushed itself into my picture! How dare it block the view of the lake! haha

I hope you all enjoyed the scenic ride with me. I'm amazed that with the way my hubby drives that I was able to get anything other than a blur! haha.

That's really cool that it's not far from you. We're only about 25-30 minutes from it ourselves... but on the NJ side.

And I think this one is the one you went to............

Oh wow, Brenda. I didn't realize that there were two of them. The renfaire.com/NY/ one is the one I went to. That's too bad that you're not closer.
Thank you, Lisa K. That's so neat that your grandparents used to renta house there! My step-dad's parents used to rent a house on Upper Greenwood Lake, where I live now. It's such a coincidence!
Thanks so much, Meg. It really was a lovely sky yesterday.
Thank you kindly, Lisa E.
I think cows are very scenic in their own right. hehe
