What are you thankful for or happy about today?
I fixed my computer yesterday even though it took all damn day. I had planned on catching up with all my Gather buds since I'd been gone so long but the computer did not feel like cooperating.

Congratulations on getting the computer back together. I'm currently building one and have run into some issues recently. Glad you got yours fixed!
I have another trip coming up too, promised my parents and little sis I'd be back up for Thanksgiving. I just wish Dave could come with me. His company doesn't allow anyone to take time off during the week of Thanksgiving or the week of Christmas, except for the actual days of TG and Xmas because those weeks are actually hectic in the ice cream business. Anyway stay safe when you're on the road and have fun!
I put ads up on Freecycle and Craigslist for non-working computers and look for people who list various parts. I've gotten pretty much everything I've needed that way so far aside from a mouse and a massive hard drive.
I never would have though ice cream would be big when it's freezing, but it does make sense.
That is so cool that you build your own computers. I might consider doing that myself since I have more time than Dave does. I'm actually pretty good at fixing electronics.
Put want ads up on Craigslist and Freecycle near you for working/broken computers. Sometimes all that's wrong with a computer is the power supply and the hard drive, etc still works. Books will tell you how to test all of that stuff and get you on your way.
It's a lot of fun(and rewarding if you choose to sell your computers).
I am happy that we can vote in this country, that the vote gets counted, and that nobody kills you with a truck bomb when you are voting. See, I am capable of looking for the silver lining in the dark rain cloud.........
