Woo Hoo! We got some rain last night and early today. Woo Hoo!
My part of Texas has been really dry and hot, averaging around 102-103 degrees each day for the past month. That's hot. Today it's not supposed to get any higher than the upper 80's. Woo Hoo!
My air conditioner has been working overtime and I'm going to hate paying my next electric bill (Yikes!) but, I'm addicted to creature comfort. I'll pay whatever it takes to stay cool and comfortable. When I was a child we didn't have air conditioning. Mom had a big window fan in one of the windows to help draw in and cool the air. The floors in our house were covered in linoleum and I would lie on the floor in front of the fan to cool off. Whenever the spot that I was laying on became warm I would just roll over onto another spot. This would work if you were willing to stay still for any length of time, but life does not stay still. Thank goodness for air conditioning, I do not wish to go back to "the good ole days".
My flowers have been suffering. I have to water them everyday; some of them are already burning. They are fast becoming dried flowers without wanting to. When I went out to check my yard this morning, they were smiling at me (they really were). The rain has enhanced the smell of my fig tree and I when I walked by it, it greeted me with its wonderful odor. The smell of a fig tree is like no other and I like the way it smells.
I hope it rains some more. If only I could learn the old American Indian "rain dance" (hey, it worked for them). The rain spirits would probably just laugh at me and thank me for the laughs and entertainment.
Woo Hoo, for rain.
What's the weather like where you live?

Rain today also...It is just starting, so maybe we will get a lot...It has been that hot here..I am like you I have to stay cool....I think it is suppose to be in the upper 90s here..It is already hot humid and muggy...YIKES...Have a great day Lee...
Much the same as yours....I am very grateful to have the day off; today's rain is the first in almost a month. The frogs were singing last night when I went to bed, and still are, this morning. Wonderful napping weather.
I know what you mean about the flowers smiling at you....my various herb plants in the container garden just outside my front door have an air of "oh thank goodness, isn't this wonderful?", particularly the tomatoes and basil.
Enjoy!
glad you guys got some much needed rain! I'm with you in the AC department (I'm in Daytona!)
I am so glad you got some rain, Lee.....we've had way too much lately! We are having some fabulous weather right now, temps around 80 during the day and down around 60 at night.....it wonderful!
Glad you saw some rain, now send it over here! Actually, it's cloudy, for a change and the weatherman says we may see some of the wet stuff today or tomorrow! From his lips to God's ears! We're parched!
I saw you on YouTube taking a shower. I believe it was you with the shampoo uncensored.
Yikes! Must have been under the "horror" catagory and the whole scene was rated N for "Not".
I can't remember us having more perfect weather. It has average about 75F for the past 2 months. Today is 78F.
My daughter lives in Kentucky and she said they had to put on sweathers to enjoy their outdoor bar-b-que on the 4th. That's the kind of weather I like but from June to October, Texas is hot enough to cook the fish bait if you drop it on the sidewalk.
Glad to hear that you guys finally got some rain. Today it's clear, sunny and warm no chance of rain of rain today
so kewl
I'm glad you got some rain. Its been raining a little today and its in the forecast for most of the week.
BTW, I am in the process of putting up new stuff, just because you asked. LOL. Just give me a day or two.

We need a bit of rain here in Michigan. When we returned from vacation, things were pretty dry.
Rain here last night and this morning too! along with thunder and lightening!
Lee,
Send some over to East Texas. We are in serious need here.
Hi Clifford, I think that rain is supposed to be coming your way.
I remember the days without AC also ,Lee. I would not like to do without it ! Glad you got some rain.
my electric bill was really high for last month.
It rained here in Arkansas as well the last two days. Off and on.
I'm glad you got some rain! It should rain here tonight and tomorrow, the first decent amount of rain in almost three weeks. But it hasn't been so hot here, about 80 degrees. I've been watering plants every day, too.
We didn't have air conditioning when I was a kid either. No one I knew had such a luxury. I still use the big old box fan from JC Penney's that we used decades ago. But I do have a window air conditioner in the living room. It is nice!
