The Polyvore Collage

I was searching for something online. I don't recall what it was, but it was only seven days ago. In searching for whatever it was that I was searching for, I found something fun, useful, and addicting. I found Polyvore.

Polyvore is a free, easy-to-use web-based application for mixing and matching images from anywhere on the web. It is also a vibrant community of creative and stylish people.

Polyvore lets you create sets composed of individual images using an easy to use, drag and drop editor. After you have created a set, you can publish and share it with your friends and the Polyvore community.

Essentially, it is best for making collages, but can also be used to shop for certain looks. I fell in love with this site for making collages. After I create them, I print them on card stock and use them to make cards.

You can share your polyvore on a blog, and you can individually add collages to your blog as well.

The options are endless and it is easy to install the clipping tool and use it to clip pictures from websites to make collages of your own. Depending on your intent for collages, it works best with pictures with solid white backgrounds for transarency reasons. I haven't found a need to look for pictures elsewhere though, the collection on site is plentiful.
