Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman was in serious condition at a Memphis hospital after being involved in a car accident Sunday night, but did not suffer any "life-threatening" injuries, according to a friend.

One of the best in the business. I hope he recovers soon and fully. I've enjoyed his precence in films for many years, and hope to continue enjoying him for years to come.

Just to FYI--the "Med" as it's called in the Memphis area, is one of the best Level 1 trauma centers in the country, so he is receiving top-notch care.
