Where is everyone going?

I just notice one of my favorite writers on WMUR is gone. I have enjoy David Mirsky articles. His well writtten and well thought out ideas I look forward to.

I have check out the members of WMUR and over half of them haven't posted or checked in in over a half year. Is WMUR disappearing or even worse is Gather losing peolpe in huge droves.

I have also notice my people list half or more are not checking in either.

Are people fed up with politics, or Gather, or going on to other blog sites?

I'm here--but it's a busy time. I've noticed things settle down when there's not a big contest going. Maybe everyone is over at Amazon for their fiction contest!

Maybe David got tired of the ultra-left wing pile-ons that seem to be so common on Gather.

I have always been fed up with politics because I think we make it impossible for really good people to get into office, and if by mistake we do elect them, we make them regret the choice. If I am wrong, I'd love a dose of hope in this arena.

I look at politics like being a fish in the sea. You have to watch the environment you swimming in. Just because you ignore the pollution ( politicians) they still effects you.
