This is based on something my daughter told me when she was in the 6th grade. I offered to take a friend to a game they were involved in. I had made one of my comments that are meant to be funny. She told her friend, " My mom is only funny sometimes!"
Kids, ya gotta love them.
Sometimes
I have been told
that I have to write something funny!
It's for our final grade,
but that just not me.
I have often tried
to be funny sometimes before
while raising my kids
those two that I adore.
It never really worked
and my daughter finally told me
"Mom, just give it up
only SOMETIMES are you funny!"

At least your daughter thinks you're funny sometimes.
My kids always tell me to hush up when I'm trying to be funny, especially if one of their friends is around.

I think you're even funnier sometimes plus half. But then again, I know you.
Some of my jokes or humor attempts with my kids fall flat too, but I keep trying, sometimes they get through!
