My grandfather (called Pop) was a stocky, short white man with gold wire rimeglasses Though he was in his 70's at the time, he had excellent hearing.
We like to throw coins behind him and ask what we threw. He never fail to surprise us. He would hear the sounds and then , almost immediatelywould say, "74 cents, 2 quarterd, 2 dimes and four pennies". He was able to tell the coins from other countries.
One our friends thought he could fool him. He made some copper slugs and toss them. My Pop said," four fakes copper slugs. And next time uses a scale, they were to heavy."
