Base Running Photo Essay

 The Great American Pastime! 

 

Baseball.

...Or is it the pursuit of fame?  Local children came out pre-game to give a demonstration.

Here's what the Dodger fans see:

Getting Ready . . .

The wind-up . . .

Stealing base . . .  

Outfield at last . . .

 Strike 3!

 

And Now we interrupt the game for a WHOLE NEW GAME!  Dr. Seuss will continue and you can almost hear the Looney Tunes theme as we continue.

See the Serious Man?  He is a Security Officer.  

See the Looney Fan?  He Jumped onto the Field!

Run Looney, Run!  He has legs AND a straight jacket!

Fanatic Fan Can Run Fast!

Fan Fool is SURROUNDED!

But He ESCAPES ! 

Fan Gets 15 Minutes and Fun Fun Fun!  See THAT Smile?

Freely Fleeing - foolish fun!

Security seems to be less amused!  See the Flying Tackle?

...And now . . . back to the game!

Winning run . . . for Cheri!  50 children were taken onto the field and permitted to run the bases. 

And then it was off to home!  Eventually.

Nalita - What a sweetie! Incidentally, I'm WAY ahead of you . . . go 49ers!

Bay-Bay it was fun and I got sent to the photographer's booth right before Looney Tunes hit the field! First time IN that and using the new 2x tele-converter on the 300mm . . . which I really didn't care for . . . slowed the 5 FPS a tad due to focal slowing.

No wonder I call California the land of Fruits and Nuts!!! No, really, totally just kidding! It sounds like it was a wild game! At least he wore his own straight jacket!!! He knew he was looney tunes! Your pictures of the game were fantastic. So clear and sharp. Great photo essay... Loved it.

Love baseball it is my great past time, S. Calfornia just dreaming use to live their from Victorville to Santa Cruz and if you ever want to see paradise go hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave south and find Deep Creek Hot spring you'll love it and go Giants.

I don't like baseball but these were worth seeing... especially the nut in the straight jacket! Great colour on these they look like magazine quality photos.

I use a variety of programs but mostly proprietary software from Nikon (Capture NX) and Photoshop Elements 4 for framing.
