Four thirds pie
That’s one and a bit;
Will you cut it into five?
And don’t fight
If they’re not all alike.
Four thirds pie are
Stop it.
Pies are.
You’ve got to say “pies.”
But it isn’t the same?
Will you try
To start talking some sense?
Pie are cubed.
Pies are cubes?
Pies are circular, please.
But that’s not what you meant?
Well, why don’t you just make yourself clear.
It’s the volume of a sphere.
Well, here’s
Some ice cream
In a spherical scoop for your pie.
Do you think if I scream
You might eat it?
I promise I’ll try.

Field note of an alien
The sort of thing one would recite to a schoolboy struggling with mathematics, in an attempt to engage a young brain with the magic of numbers.
I LOVED THIS!
