Resolve VS Resolute - Poetry Please SWP-Resolve #62

I resolve to make things right

regardless of who made them wrong

I resolve to laugh and be light

always singing a joyful song

 

I resolve to find someone

make all their dreams come true

I can resolve to do anything,

but what matters is what I do.

 

Living my life one day at a time,

taking each step as it comes.

These may seem cliché to you

but it enables me to hum.

 

I find my joys, despite sorrows

enjoying pleasures, while ignoring pains.

I relish each moment of sunshine

and ignore the weeks it may rain.

 

To do this thing takes more than words

said at the first of each year.

takes committing your heart, soul, and mind

and keeping strong in beliefs you hold dear!

 

It is the difference between somebody's 'resolve'

to do something too absolute

and knowing the difference between right and wrong,

always remaining firmly resolute!

This poem is you that is for sure, and very cool.. Just be careful when righting "wrongs". Not everyone is even interested, and you might be in the middle of something that will be alien to your hearts desires at the moment, then you could be heart-wounded because you are so kind Lisa, and that would not be a good thing.. It could "trim your wings" a bit, and I like you flying around:)) Ellen B
