Silence surrounds me
It's depth is profound
The household is sleeping
No one is around
My thoughts take to wandering
Straying often back to you
Yet I am trying to keep my head straight
while wondering what I should do.
I know I am not worth it
I have been told so before
Yet I find myself so happy
Why you briefly open that door
Those tantalizing glimpses
Of what we could be
Keeps my deepest hopes alive
Is it making a fool out of me
So I carefully take all of my hopes
And my dreams of happiness too
Storing them in my heart's deepest pocket
Waiting for the things you need to work through.

I hope that didn't sound pretentious, I meant that in a good way
The Neighbor’s rock garden
This is wonderfully written and of course you're worth it (just ask us!), and I also think you're writing in a bit of softer way.
