Surreal...Poetry Please

He is mighty and invincible

Infinite miracles he performs

Managed his incredible feat

Of being worshipped with

Revealed, unrevealed axioms

 

Sitting on a throne in the sky

Known as a white -bearded deity

None could state to be an eye-witness

Justify the gap between 'He is' and 'He's not'

Of Godly truth and surreal reality

and why not ? of course that imagery and testimony is surreal! so surreal and unbelievable to be laughable...especially the white beard ..
yes i cast away that cartoon image!
and the trappings of a throne,monarchy of the clouds! and the sexuality of a God! LOL!

but I believe with all my heart ~as firmly as I believe I could not live without this air I breathe but I cannot see~ in the love ,in the life giving here and after and the solace

Coupled with the fascinating image, Bhawana, this is a really intriguing poem about a god of axioms and anthropomorphic features: Michelangelo meets Euclid! I like your way of displacing belief with imagery, as Miguel Unamuno the Spanish philosopher said, "Faith without doubt is dead faith."

BBBB: I was so pleased to see you had posted, and you rose to the challenge beautifully. I have often wondered where the deity images that we are raised with originate... I loved several of the lines in this poem, and the whole theme of it.
My favorite line is:

Oh Bhawana this is a poem of mighty dimensions.
In a way like no one else has before...you praise God. Yes there are revealed and unrevealed axioms.
Enough to make us believe and enough to make us sure that there is more.
This is a poem to think about. It has a mystic depth. Wonderful
