The coons are coming back

It was a pleasant surprise last night. I was watching the football game and decided to look outside. I cut the outside light on and Greedy Coon was there. I have no way of knowing for sure it was Greedy. He was always the first coon around in the evening and almost the only one that went to the pan of food closest to the steps. Since this coon did those things I believe it was him.

I did not open the door to try and talk to them last night or take any photos. Since they had not been around for several nights I did not want to take a chance of scaring them off.

The three little coons came around twice. I guess they were scared off by something the first time and came back to fill up. I think I have mentioned them in an article or two before. One or two of them often goes up a tree for a while and usually comes back down. I’m sure I’ve publish at least one photo of one of them up a tree.

I don’t know if there were as many coons as there use to be. There were less possums last night. I don’t know if that had anything to do with the coons coming back. It is possible that more possums coming had an effect on the coons not coming. It is possible that more possums were coming for a while was because no coons were there. It could have something to do with the weather as it was cooler the nights no coons came.

What ever the reason was, I was tickled to see my coons back. I enjoy watching them.
